Hell Part 7
“I never knew you”, if there EVER A WAS A TIME when you wanted recognition it will be WHEN you “stand in the Judgment”. Psalms 1:5 There have been many who have claimed Jesus as savior that have never owned Him as Lord!! I hear people all the time claiming kinship with Christ, sadly that is all there is to it-just a claim! Jesus has been rejected more times than He has been claimed by most of us, but we have never thought of Him dis-claiming us!! “Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in Heaven.” Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied is Thy name’? and ‘in Thy name have cast out devils’? and ‘in Thy name done many wonderful works’? And then will I profess unto them, ‘I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.’ Matthew 7:21-23 Notice, there is no rebuttal to His words!!
Let us talk about “standing in the judgment”. Most denominational preachers teach or infer that ‘every soul will be judged by Christ’! This is absolutely not what the Bible says. Read the first Psalm, look at John 12:47: “If any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.” That is pretty plain to misunderstand!! But, they claim, does not the scripture say ‘we all must stand before the judgment bar of Christ’? 2 Corinthians 5:10 Emphatically, it says that and what it says will unequivocally come true and never for a moment would we ever think to deny this truth; but who is the “we”? If I am not mistaken, and I am not, the book of Corinthians was written to the “Church of God which is at Corinth.” 2 Corinthians 1:1 This is exactly what the first Psalm teaches when it says “for the unrighteous shall not stand in the Judgment”. Jesus will judge the Church, God the Father will judge the rest of mankind. You cannot judge someone over whom you have not had control. If a person has never been apart of the body of Christ, Christ has never been their Head, for He is “head over the body, which is the Church.” Colossians 1:18
Now, let us talk about “doing the Will of My Father which is in Heaven.” What is the Will of God the Father? “It is not His Will that any should perish but all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 On the day of Pentecost, 53 days after the resurrection of Christ from the borrowed tomb, Peter answered the question of eternity when asked; “Men and brethren what shall we do?” “Then Peter said unto them; ‘repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:37-28 While on the earth, Jesus is quoted as saying; “My doctrine is not Mine, but His that sent Me. If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of Myself.” John 7: 16-17 Paul writes in Ephesians 1:5-10 the following: “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will…..Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together ALL things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him.” The doctrine of Christ is the Will of the Father!! Here is the danger!! The doctrines of men are not the Doctrine of Christ. They differ in what is commanded. Jesus commands “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.” Mark 16:16, while denominational preachers command; “get saved by praying through to Jesus, then get baptized BECAUSE you are saved, showing the world your baptism to be an “outward sign of an inward grace”.
