Who are these people called Baptist? Part 22

When a man and woman get married, custom dictates that the woman takes on the man’s last name. If a man whose last name is Wilson marries a beautiful woman whose last name is Smith it is not genuinely thought acceptable that the woman would go around calling herself a Smith, anymore! When the couple that are married, are blessed with children, the children wear the last name of the father. Being blessed of God to have children, a man usually is extremely pleased when his wife bears him sons. He knows he will have someone that will carry on his name. The sons of the married couple have never worn the name of the wife’s father, in this example, Smith. I know of no society where this is not true. It is both common and accepted. When a man is married to Christ, Christ adds them to His family. His family bears the name of Christ-hence they are called the Church of Christ! The word church in Aramaic and Greek languages are better translated assemblies. These assemblies meet and function under the authority of their head, He to whom they are married. The apostle Paul, in Ephesians 5:23-25, being directed by the Holy Spirit, wrote these words. “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the savior of the body. Therefore the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.” The fact that Paul uses the word husband and wife defines the institution called marriage. That would dictate that we who are baptized into Christ for the remission of sin, are married to Christ and therefore become a part of His bride, wife. His, is a possessive pronoun in the English language and definitely establishes ownership.
Further study in the New Testament, indicates that Christ has only one church to which He is married! She has many appellations attached to her other than wife, bride, friend and companion and each time she is referred to in the New Testament is in the singular, not plural, sense. In one place of particular interest is the book of Matthew the 13th chapter and the 45th verse where she is singularly pointed out to be or called a Pearl. It is interesting to note that here, one was His desire out of all the other pearls that existed. Having been able to have married, possessed many pearls, He chose one and but one! This Pearl was of great value and cost Him an extremely high price. The purchaser, Christ spent everything that He had, owned, possessed to have this ONE Pearl. Men who appreciate the things of God could never think they would be worthy to be included in this treasure while in the world. If they value it aright, they can ever never be at ease till they have made her their own, no matter what the terms. There is nothing that will come between them. He rejoices in her, that she even exists, a bargain not made by man; he is glad to be invited into her courts of praise. When he finds this truth, he relentlessly seeks to he finds a way to become a part of it. Finding and being a part of it are two different things!
To compare this to a man made church denies Christ and His church, makes it impossible for any person who is honest and sincere to think they can be a part of any other church they desire, much less that wears any name they want. The very fact that any other name was not chosen when the Lord had opportunity to choose, must be considered! Any assembly or church that wants to be true to Christ as husband, would not call herself any other name, after to him she had been married. Any child born of that union would never even consider calling themselves by any other name! So NO denominational church is married to Christ! Yes or no? By wearing any other name than the name of Christ, they show disrespect to Christ authority, and to that which Christ purchased!!
Will the Baptist Church cite me the name, letter, or apostle, who wrote by the direction of the Holy Spirit of God in the first century, where they were mentioned, alluded to, or recognized?? I will freely admit that all the years I’ve been studying that grand old Book, called the Bible, that I HAVE NOT found ONE reference to them, their doctrine, or their existence in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Rome, or anywhere else on the planet Earth, unless it is in their books written 100’S of years LATER. Don’t think BAPTIST will be mentioned in eternity, in the presence of God. THEY will often be discussed in Hell!!

Who are these people called Baptist? Part 21

It is often times used in a way that is not properly understood, it does not concern itself with the body and the ills of this life, it is not the same as is used in the Old Testament when the word meant that which involved only temporal blessings; this word today, salvation, talks about the state of the soul of man. Noah and his family were saved from the judgment inflicted upon the old world; the Israelites were saved from the Egyptians, and the companions of the apostle Paul were saved from watery death; but this is not the salvation of which we speak. When Christ was introduced to the world it was said of him, “Thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.” The salvation of which we speak, is the salvation of the soul in the present life. There is a present salvation and then there is a future salvation-both of these the child of God will experience. All people today who call themselves Christians anxiously expect a future salvation-or “the glory that is to be revealed in us at the last time!” The salvation of the soul is the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the earnest paid down on our bodies.
On the day of Pentecost, Peter exhorted those: “to save themselves by repenting and be baptized for the remission of sins, in the name of the Lord Jesus.” The results-“and the Lord added, daily, the saved to the assembly.” The King James says those who “should be” saved. I never quite understood this “should be” business. How can somebody who is bought by the blood of Christ, cleansed in the blood of Christ, and thoroughly redeemed by Christ blood ever think there was a chance, condition that might make it possible NOT to be saved! The apostle Paul writes; “the gospel of the cross is foolish; to those that are lost, but salvation to those that are saved.” Again, to the Ephesians he says; “we are to God a fragrant odor of Christ among the saved, and among those who are lost. To Titus, he wrote: “God saved us, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His own mercy.” The promise of salvation to the obedient is found in almost every public address recorded in the New Testament. In Christ covenant, the new covenant, everyone who “believed the gospel, and was immersed, was saved!” It was the apostle Peter who wrote that “immersion saved us, purifying the conscience because the resurrection of Christ proved it’s validity. As we come out of the watery grave of baptism, we are emulating Christ resurrection from the grave. To the Corinthians, the apostle Paul teaches, “the gospel that I preached ye received, and wherein you stand; was the gospel that saved you, if you keep in memory what I preached.” How could any Baptist preacher then tell his people that immersion does not save?
Christians are also taught to expect and hope for a future salvation-a salvation from the power of death and the grave-a salvation to be revealed in the last time. We received the first fruit of the Spirit, the salvation of the soul from guilt, pollution, and the dominion of sin, and came under the dominion of the righteousness, peace, and joy of the Holy Spirit. Or as he wrote: “Jesus, having not seen, you love; on whom, not now looking, but believing, ye received with joy unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the reward of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
The convert to Christianity by the apostles were taught to consider themselves pardoned, justified, sanctified, reconciled, adopted, and saved by those apostles who preach the gospel of Christ. None of these things are personal attributions of the body, soul or spirit. All of these describe a condition that we, who have obeyed the gospel, have happily found ourselves in–called saved! There are many who do not understand this state called, saved. They think it an ambiguous term without definition. Childhood is a state; so is manhood. A person in childhood may sometimes act like a person in the state of manhood, and those in the state of manhood may show actions that would resemble childhood, but all of us understand the different states. We are expected to act in accordance with the state in which we exist. We are translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s Son!!

Who are these people called Baptist? Part 20

The Baptist tell us that baptism is just a mere external bodily act, gaining them nothing but mere church membership. This is not found in the Scriptures. The apostle Paul by inspiration of the Holy Spirit writes: “bodily exercise profits little.” 1 Timothy 4:8 They mock baptism for the remission of sins and its importance in the plan of salvation. We have been taught that immersion in water, in the name of Jesus Christ is an act of the whole man, body soul and spirit. The soul of the intelligence subject is fully immersed into the Lord Jesus, as his or her body is immersed in the water; the reason for the action is this is what was commanded by the direction of the spirit, who inspired the message given by the apostles.1 Corinthians 12:13 So Paul would writes: “by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body.” Our souls, by this instruction, meet with the blood of the Lord Jesus. As our body rises out of the water our spirit becomes one with all the family of God. It is not like circumcising a Hebrew infant or proselytizing a Gentile adult to the message of Moses authority. The candidate, believing in the person of the Son of God, and willing to submit to Him, immediately, upon recognizing Christ Jesus, is buried with the Lord, and arises with the Lord, not corporately, but spiritually, with the whole soul.
We need to watch how we speak of bodily acts in obedience to divine institutions. Call to your mind all of the physical sacrifices of pure animals that were a part of the Patriarchal and Mosaic institutions. These were merely physical acts and were in no a benefit to the animal sacrificed. The animal never gained any special favor or notice from God. The animal was just a means to the end. Remember, the crucifixion on Mt. Calvary, and talk not lightly of bodily acts. There were two other men sacrificed on crosses that day. There was no benefit to the body of either of these. Christ was the only sacrifice who received reward, acclamation, and received the promise of God. Christ was not the outward flesh but the spiritual being who went to the alien world. There is no such thing as outward bodily acts in the Christian institution. Less, than all the other acts of obedience, is the act of immersion!! In the immersion of the sinner, who has a believing, penitent heart, the spirit, soul, and body of man becomes a possession of and one with the Lord. 1 Corinthians 6:19 The physical body itself will be transmuted on the day of resurrection and be changed into a glorious body. In this act of immersion, the power of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit comes upon us. It is immediately after this act that the Holy Spirit of God comes into us to live in the human body as we remain faithful. It is immediately after baptism that the Father and Son, take up residency in the heart.” If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:21-24 The body is the means through which this takes place but the body itself never gains purification, justification or any other enhancement. Baptism is not just a physical act, the body is the medium or means through which these acts take place. To put it another way, the being who never had a body and had not committed sin would never need to be baptized. Transgressors of the Old Testament covenant, be it Patriarchal or Mosaic laws had bodies, but none of their bodies will be saved-they will be transmuted. You cannot claim they were all baptized, so you cannot claim that baptism is a physical act. Baptism is the command, immersion is the action/ means of obeying the command. In is irreconcilable with the Scriptures or logic that someone baptize infants. That the body of an infant is not required for salvation, is seen when the infant dies before accountability. Then the use of the body would not be the means in which and through which obedience to the commandment of God would be offered. The infant is neither born in sin, nor can commit sin, nor can inheritance sin therefore, the child one day before accountability, dies with never having a need of the body! Obeying the gospel, the tongue of the sinner does not save. The tongue is merely the instrument through which the heart speaks. “For with the heart man believe is the righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10 This helps us understand Romans 10:13. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” It is not the calling of somebody’s name, it is the obedience to the command that was given, that saved! Why do the Baptist, baptize at all?

Who are these people called Baptist? Part 19

The Baptist Church and its prognosticators not only mess up the plan of salvation, they also teach false theories concerning the second coming of Christ. The return of Christ is the time of judgment. Matthew 16:27. “For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.“ Note the word ”then”–then he shall reward every man. When will this take place? At His coming with His angels. There is no dual coming, dual resurrection, tribulation and rapture, that is taught in this passage!! Peter, Mark 8:38 says: “whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also show the Son of Man be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with His holy angels.” There is no time for millennialism or the rapture, Jesus says it will be when He comes with His angels. This brings on a real hard problem for the Baptist Church because there is no mention of the tribulation, no mention of the rapture, and no mention of His third coming, and a regrouping of all His angels. The Baptist tell us that when Jesus comes back the second time, He want be “in His glory,” He will come as a coward, a their. John wrote by the inspiration of the Spirit, in the John 5:28-29,: “the hour cometh, in which all that are in their grave shall hear His voice and come forth. They that have done good to the resurrection of life, they that have done evil under the resurrection of separation.” Again Paul, according to the inspiration given him in Luke 20:35 says: “they which are accounted worthy to obtain that world, and resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage.” The millennial theory has no support in the Word of God and will not stand in the light of Scripture nor reason!
Many of the Baptist go back to Zechariah 14. “And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the East, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the East and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.” Jesus cried: “Oh, Jerusalem, Jerusalem; thou that stonest the prophets and killeth them that were sent unto thee. How often would I have gathered thee as a hen does her brood under her wing, and you would not. Behold your house is left unto you desolate.” A mountain was the government in prophetic parlay and the Jews were the people whose house of worship was totally destroyed when the kingdom of heaven brought war on Jerusalem in A.D. 70 and washed her in her own blood! Jerusalem had to pass through the fire to be refined. The city was taken by the Romans, the houses were rifled, and all the riches taken away, the women were ravished and crime was sanctioned by law. Half of the city was carried into captivity, to be sold or enslaved: it was a great and terrible day! God made use of the Roman nations to scourge the Jew for the killing of His Son. Jesus said: “this generation shall not pass until all these things be fulfilled.” In Mark 13:3, the Bible tells us “that Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives when Peter, James, Andrew and John came to Him and asked Him the question, ‘Lord when shall these things be?” The last time that Jesus stood on the Mount of Olives is recorded in Acts 1:12 when He ascended up into heaven. He will never stand there again, for when He comes the second time, there will be no Mount of Olives to stand on. It will be destroyed as the rest of the planet will be. 2 Peter 3:8-12. The great mountain, the ceremonial law, was in the way of the world’s conversion and the preaching of the gospel. This mountain had to depart and the hills be removed, the covenant of peace was then brought in through the preaching of the gospel to them that were “afar off and to those that were nigh.” A new and living way was opened in Jerusalem, which gave man the forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life. As Isaiah had prophesied, Isaiah 40:4,”every valley shall be exalted, every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.” By speaking of the valley, the way was open for the wayfaring man (the Jew), Isaiah 35:8 and the path to salvation would be open to the fools.” To those who had never been in covenant and separated from God, the Gentiles, who were “afar off”, a people with NO access to Him, would NOW have joint access to God, the Father.”

Who are these people called Baptist? Part 18

In the Baptist Church, it is taught profusely that one is justified by faith only that there is no actual obedience that must be rendered. This denomination denies and despises the fact that a sinner must be baptized into Christ to be saved. In examining the New Testament, we find that the Bible does teach a man is justified by faith-Romans 5:1; Galatians 2:16; 3:24. The Good Book also teaches that one is justified freely by God’s grace: Titus 3:7. The Scriptures teach that we are justified by His blood: Romans 5:9 also James tells us we’re justified by works. James 2:21, 24, 25. The apostle Paul writes to the Corinthians in first Corinthians 5:11 telling them they were justified by Christ. In Galatians 2:16, Paul later says we’re justified by knowledge. Then finally, Paul in Romans 3:33 says it is God that justifies. This is a list of seven means, by Christ, his name, his blood, by knowledge, grace, faith, and by works. He that selects faith out of seven acts without reason; he infers that he has superior knowledge than He who the message was delivered by, the Holy Spirit. Why, then, say that faith alone is the reason for our justification? Why not assume that the name of the Lord alone is the greater matter, saying His name is the “only name given under heaven by whereby we must be saved.” Or why not teach that because of the name of Jesus, or the Lord, salvation is ours? We have the grace of God which teaches us that grace is the efficient cause, the authority of the Lord- the immediate cause, and that faith is a formal cause, while works are concurring causes!
A witness standing beside the road sees a car wreck. Passion causes him to send his son to try and save them. When the boy gets to the car, they submit to his help. Two little girls in the backseat stretch out their arms, take hold of his hand, and flee for safety. While this is going on there are people standing idly by and watching, who do nothing. While the young boy was trying to aid the other two passengers, the car exploded, and all perished. The moving cause of their salvation was the goodwill of the father who sent his son. The efficient cause was his son who ran toward eminent death to aid; the procuring cause was the boy reaching and grabbing them by the hand and pull them out of the car, those that escaped. The knowledge of their death and his invitation to pull them out of the car would be called the disposing cause. The grabbing of the young man’s hands and pulling as strongly as they could to gain freedom would be called the immediate cause; consenting to his conditions, would be the formal cause and running to the side of the road for safety was the concurring cause of their salvation. Men are justified or saved by grace, by Christ, by His blood, by faith, by knowledge, by the name of the Lord, and by works. Of the seven causes, three are purely instrumental– why choose one and put emphasis on justifying and exclude or show no preference to others? Everyone in its own place is essentially necessary.
If we examine the New Testament, we will find that we are said to be saved by as many causes, though some of them differently denominated, as those by which we are said to be justified. We are said to be saved by grace. Ephesians 2:5; saved through His life, Romans 5:9, 10; saved through faith, Ephesians 2:8, Acts 16:31; saved by baptism, first Peter 3:21; or by believing and being baptized, Mark 16:16; or by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5; or by the gospel, first Corinthians 15:1; or by calling on upon the Lord, and by enduring to the end, Acts 2: 21, Romans 10:13, Matthew 10:22. In the Book, salvation is ascribed to grace, to Jesus Christ, to His death and resurrection-three times, to baptism, either by itself or in conjunction, one time with faith, and one time with the Holy Spirit; to works, or calling upon the Lord, or enduring to the end. To these we could add other phrases but these explain our example. Saved by grace, is the moving cause; by Jesus, the efficient cause; by the gospel, the disposing cause; by faith, the formal cause; by baptism, the immediate cause; and by enduring to the end, or persevering in the Lord, the concurring cause. Why then do the Baptist teach that salvation is “by faith only?” More lies from their father!! John 8:44

Who are these people called Baptist? Part 16

To understand another fallacy about the Baptist Church, we must understand how they as a society cannot progress beyond their present existence because when they began their church they did not intend for it to go beyond the limits of the Reformation; beyond that which would have caused them to be heretical. The founders of all schisms saw through “a glass darkly,” and they were so engulfed in human tradition that they never intended to come all the way back to the pattern of the New Testament!! There is a difference in starting a church for societal freedom, where one could worship as they pleased, and starting a church for the salvation of the soul where one would worship as God pleased. A new creed was soon adopted, and then they were completely enmeshed in pride and would not admit they could be wrong.
This new creed bound them from infancy and because of jealousy, the dividers became the divided. There is something that has not often been discussed– the purpose for which something has been brought into existence determines its reason for existence! The Baptist Church came into existence over its insatiable desire to worship and teach its own private doctrine. It did not come into existence seeking the will of God. It did not come into existence demanding of itself that it must become the closest religious body in the world to the truth written in the word of God by the Holy Spirit to His apostles. If the purpose for which something comes into existence is not right or is not channeled in the right direction, then the end result can never be anything that’s good!! For example: a man marries a woman because she’s wealthy- you can bet that marriage will not be happy. A young woman marries an old man for money, a family worships with the wrong congregation because there are children there they can befriend their children- they seem to have no reason to worship with a congregation because of the amount of truths taught. When the Baptist Church came into existence in 1603, its purpose was not to be the exact copy of the church of Christ of the first century. In the writings of its founder or founders, this was not a prerequisite. How could the results be good? Since the Baptist Church has never existed to be the closest thing to the word of God that exist on the earth, its purpose of existence is still not that that will give the proper outcome!! They just didn’t start out to be the church of Christ!! The purpose of their origin might be honorable, but the marriage of the young woman to the old man is more honorable than just living together: love is not the purpose of their union. If the purpose of their union is not founded on truth, their marriage can never grow beyond a certain standard, or grow at all!! This has never been the purpose for our existence as the church of Christ– it is never been our purpose just to exist, our purpose has always been to take the writings of the Holy Spirit as our creed, our rules and measures of faith and practice; and, never allow any additions, alterations, or amendments that would alter our purpose of existence!!
When the church exists only for the purpose of making its people better, making them more moral, preach on joy, love, and peace and never explain the purpose of their existence is to defend the teachings and doctrines of God, what can the church ever expect to be? When we understand that the things concerning the Holy Spirit and the defense of His word are not the most important purpose for our existence, the purpose for our existence will only cause division– not the unity of the Spirit!! I think in many instances men and women are loyal to a purpose of existence that is not loyal to Jesus Christ, and they think that their purpose of existence is as good as the church that He purchased with His blood. To read the Scriptures for the sake of carrying out into practice all that we learn, and to read them for the sake of knowing what is written, are very different things, and will produce very different results. To be a member of the Baptist Church, which never in its purpose of origin or continuous existence is to be the closest thing to the New Testament pattern as is possible to be, will never bring the results that those who love the Lord but are misled by the error that it teaches, will bring. You can love Jesus Christ with ever faculty of your being, but if you have never met His blood, you will be lost!!

Who are these people called Baptist? Part 15

Christians are the greatest philanthropist, in the utmost extent of the meaning of the word. Those who are representatives of darkness, angels of Satan, are the worst enemies ever to exist!! Man or woman that is evil enough to represent the God of creation and deny what He says or has had written, is the meanest human being, alive!! He will care not for things that are high and holy, he will never see the necessity of referencing his preaching or teaching by a “thus saith the Lord,” nor will he ever feel the pangs of guilt. The word of God has not been hidden in his heart, nothing will prick or disturb his conscience when he violates the instruction of the Holy Spirit. He may appear to be sweet and lovable but in actuality, he or she is the meanest man alive!
Truth, in love, makes us free from all the tyrannies of passion, from guilt and fear and shame; and we’re filled with courage, active and passive, as our enterprise. As Paul writes: “if by any means I may save some” describes the passion we, who because of obedience, have had put around our neck, which is called the “wreath of salvation”. The demands of our Lord and Savior are opportunities to express love, the correction of denominational representation concludes with joy in our hearts, for we know the Lord and His kingdom have been represented!! As the apostle Peter writes under the direction of the Holy Spirit: “it is better to have never known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and turn from it…” As the Lord was so exact in His communication to the destitute and the lost; “it would have been better for this man if he had never born.” Mark 14:21
There was a prodigal who went into a far country, thankfully, “he came to himself.” Luke 15:17 What would’ve been the end result of his foolishly selfish heart? Eternal damnation! It matters not about a person’s wants or wishes, when you deal with God, you have to deal on His terms, alone. Regeneration and salvation are not words for man to define on his own terms, it is the word defined by the Holy Spirit. When we speak of a society that is professedly “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,” without any human bond, and that it becomes our rule of life; we have to use the rule of law and make sure what we believe and teach in conformity with the sacred oracles and that this community of believers stand perfect and complete on the will of our Almighty Creator! We cannot concern ourselves with feelings or emotions, we have to insist on perfection: and God alone is perfection!! We find it necessary to disabuse the mind of our readers thinking we are using the widest range, allowable, or that we will not spend all of our time on the first act of becoming, nor last act of being born, but will contend that being “born again” and being “immersed,” are, in the apostles doctrine, two names for the same action in the formation of the new man! By way of reprisal, Baptist have their converts think that we go for nothing but water, and sarcastically call us the advocates of water regeneration. They think there is something more sublime and doubt has always been the occasion of all their addresses delivered by the apostles, but when we speak in the exact style of the living oracles on this subject we will be speaking in the exact style of words that relate to the act of immersion, alone. For you see my friend, the sinner cannot be regenerated when actively striving against the divine influence of inspiration!!
The Baptist Church, has often made fun of our instruction from the Holy Spirit on baptism and regeneration. They have taught that they are not the same thing and to the ignorant and unlearned they have escaped debate. On the first two sermons cited by Luke in the book of Acts, complementary versus would inform you that this could not be true. In Acts 2:38, Peter was inspired to state that repentance and baptism were for the “remission of sins” while in Acts 3:19, again, Peter calls baptism-conversion which by definition means “turn one’s self back to God,” and again, in Titus 3:5, Paul defines baptism as “the washing of regeneration,” (the restoration of the pristine state in which life began). No human being is born sinner, as we began, so we again can be. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Who are these people called Baptist? Part 14

Newness of life is a Hebraism for a “new life.” The new birth brings us into a new state or relationship with God the Son that we first had, before time began, with God the Father. This form was in fellowship with God. Jesus said: “suffer little children to come in the Me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3-6 In verse 10 of that same chapter, our Lord again says: “take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say and you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of My Father which is in heaven.” The anti-Christian generation, by whom comes great offenses, will fall to the deepest hell for their delusion given to the innocent! “For precious in the site of the Lord” are they (as well as ourselves who have been baptized into Christ and are faithful) who are the sinless. When Abraham left his native country, for fear of being ensnared in the idolatry and sinfulness of they who lived around him. It was not for Abraham’s sake that he left. Lost is in the idea that God had promised him seed, Abraham fled “looking for a city, whose ruler and builder was God.” I have known many who have left a strong congregation of the churches of Christ with their eye on the promises of the world, take their family into a situation of Jeopardy and never show any concern! I have seen the results that the call of the world had on these children! Moses left Pharaohs court, for fear of being entangled in the simple pleasure of it. There, he cut off his right arm. We, who attribute this statement of the Lord to everybody else but ourselves, never consider the consequences our decisions have on the soul that we have brought into this world! As Christ would be profoundly displeased with the enemies of His church, if they wrong any of the members of It, even the least, so He will be displeased with the great ones of the church, if they despise the little ones of It!!
Christ came to th did any ways the e world to purchase the “pearl of great price,” and the little ones of His seed in whom the gospel has been planted, are greatly desired of the Father, for, as all children, they are sinless. We must not impose upon the hearts of our children, as they are in subjection to our life, the lack of respect owed them. We must show how one must live the Christian life. The remedial system made known by our Lord warns us, “woe to those of world that causes the little ones to offend.”
Some have supposed that every particular saint has a guardian angel; but why should we suppose this, when we are sure that every particular saint, when there is occasion, has a guard of Angels? 2 Kings 6:17 Not just one! They, who are God’s possession, concerning their ministers for good, can be just as supposed to pitch their tents about them, and bear them up when they fall. But this expression of angels, just might refer to the soul and spirit of each individual that has come into this world through procreation. By inspiration, Luke uses this explanation in Acts 13:15, when the brethren thought Peter was dead, but had visited their assembly as they prayed for him. So the soul and spirit of the child who has never sinned (and there has never been one who has) is always in the presence of the Father! For sin is what separates us from God and until the separation takes place, we are in constant fellowship with heaven! While the great ones of the world have honorable men as their associates and guards, the little ones are attended with that part of mankind which speaks life and dignity to God’s “new creation.” It should seem real harmful to be the enemies of those who are so guarded, for God is jealous toward them. Notice the communication, there continually, without interruption, without fail before His face, that which sinful man cannot behold until washed in the blood of Christ and Christ having become his mediator, of the Father in heaven!! Why would it not be consistent with we who have the opportunity to be as Gabriel is described: “I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee and show thee these glad tidings.” Luke 1:19 The Son of Man was sent to seek those who are lost, not those who stood in the presence of the Father!! We who are the angels of righteousness show those who were once in God’s presence the “way back, home.”

Who are these people called, Baptist? Part 13

I can never can quit repeating a statement made in the Scriptures that most people do not pay any attention to! There was never anybody else in the Bible called Baptist other than John! Of all the religious societies that are mentioned in the Bible,: the Pharisees, Sadducees, Herodians, and on and on, these people have classification and distinction by the name that they wore. When Paul met the disciples in Acts 19, he did not begin by asking the question: “Are you all members of the Baptist Church?” There was not a Tom, the Baptist or Peter, the Baptist or James, the Baptist ever mentioned in the preamble of the New Testament, either. Since John was the only one who was ever given this appellation, even his disciples did not bear this as an identifying factor. When the disciples came to Jesus, sent by John himself when he was in prison, they did not approach the Lord with the words “we are members of the Baptist Church, can we talk to You?
Premillennialism is a big-ticket item for Baptist preachers. Since they do not believe and their doctrine does not teach that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead by God to set on the right hand of His Majesty on high, they do all they can to unseat Him by their preaching. Strong adherence to the rapture theory they have taught from their origin that Christ went back to heaven defeated, instead of glorified is their doctrine!! They teach He’s coming back one of these days to get revenge on the Jewish people, and reign over them anyway, even though they won’t like it! What a way to look at a God who gave so much!! Not telling us what will happen with the individual denominational identities, it will be an interesting time when the Adventist, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Roman Catholics, Presbyterians, and all the miracle working Holiness groups crowd over to Palestine and try to get along for 1000 years! By their doctrine, the third coming of Christ is necessitated, which is never mentioned in the Scriptures. That the earth is to be burnt with fire, dissolve back into that from whence it was made, originally, and humanity drop of the edge of the existence into oblivion. When will there be time for the judgment of the ungodly?? Or will it be executed on all the ungodly a second time the Lord comes the third time? Jude says that when the Lord comes “with His saints” He will “execute judgment on all the ungodly.” You would have to have the judgment of the ungodly at the second coming, a thousand years before the reign of Christ, begins and ends. Again in 1 Thessalonians 4:14, Paul writes “that they who sleep in Jesus, Christ will bring with Him!” The dead in Christ will rise first before the living in Christ, which were alive and remain, would be called up to be with the Lord in the air.” There will be no period of time that exists at the second coming of Christ. Time is no more. When Jesus comes back, time and this planet will have ended, He will turn the kingdom back over to God the Father, He will punish the unrighteous and assign them to separation from His presence when He comes to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 “Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and come forth, they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they lived the evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28-29 notice it says hour, singular, not hours plural, there is no third coming of Christ! There is no thousand years between the resurrection and judgment, there is no way to determine time, for time will not be in existence. The Lord will not work by His wristwatch and be limited as to how long something will take Him!! John says it is all that are in the grave, not just the saved!! Premillennialism is just another lie from a decadent mind trying to play God! 2 Thessalonians 2:8 “Then shall the wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.” It is hard to get plainer than that, but we will try. “To the end that He may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all of His saints.“ 1 Thessalonians 3:13 “For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.”
Like their doctrine baptism of the saved, premillennialism is another lie from hell. This theory is a joke perpetrated on the illiterate and unlearned who “do not study to show themselves approved.”
