Welcome to the Port St. Lucie Church of Christ. Our purpose is to preach the gospel patterned after the first century Church of Christ. We do not teach the doctrines of men. The Bible tells us not to preach anything other than what the Apostles have already preached. (Galatians 1:8-9) We believe Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God. We also believe that He died and was resurrected for our sins. (Mark 16:16; Romans 6:4) Our desire is to teach the Scriptures, God’s truth and to live according to the Bible. Will you come and search the scriptures with us as the Bereans did in Acts 17:11? “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.” You are our honored guest. We welcome you warmly and invite you to visit!

What To Expect When You Visit -You will be warmly greeted by the members. - We stand as the Lord’s Supper is brought to the table, demonstrating our respect and reverence. Once the elements are placed, we are seated. - We sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs making melody within our hearts without the use of instruments. (Ephesians 5:19) - Scripture from God’s inspired word will be read. (I Timothy 4:13) - Stand on last verse of a chosen prayer song and remain standing for the opening prayer. (Colossians 4:2-4) - Lord’s Supper that remembers Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. (Matthew 26:17; Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 11:26ff) We partake every Lord’s Day (Sunday) - Collections for the saints (I Corinthians 16:1-2) Our members give as they have been prospered to meet the needs of the church. Guests are not asked or expected to give. (If you have a guest card, you may place that in the plate as it passes) - Active, relevant Bible teaching (Titus 2:1; I Timothy 4:6-11) No creeds or headquarters, just the precious words of God.
We are a small but strong congregation firmly rooted in the Word of God. We hold the Bible and its doctrine as our sole authority and guide, just as the Lord has commanded. Our commitment is to continual growth through Scripture alone. We are always eager to study, learn and be edified by God’s Word. We welcome every opportunity to engage in Bible study and to share the gospel with others.
Each man is given the opportunity and the responsibility to grow in knowledge and teach, so that we may faithfully uphold and defend the truth of God’s Word against the errors of man-made doctrines. We are not a congregation of “pew warmers”, but a body committed to living out and proclaiming the gospel as it was intended: purely and solely God’s Word.

About Us
Congregation History The congregation was established in 1980 by Joe Wilson, a second-generation preacher in the Church of Christ. After a life devoted to serving the Lord, Joe Wilson went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2018. Since his passing, the congregation has remained steadfast in preaching and teaching the gospel. Joe’s son, Bobby Wilson, has continued the work his father began, helping to lead the congregation in faith and service. The men of the congregation are encouraged to actively participate in preaching, teaching, and leading Bible studies. Together, we support and strengthen one another as we serve the Lord.
